Project Background
Biomass electrolysis for hydrogen production is advancing sustainable energy by efficiently generating hydrogen fuel while producing valuable by-products, aligning with a circular economy. This project aims to develop a cost-effective and robust biomass electrolysis system through an international collaboration of four research teams.
-
Japan specializes in advanced inorganic materials for electrochemical conversion.
-
Thailand focuses on electrode fabrication, testing, and operando X-ray analysis to optimize catalyst performance.
-
New Zealand leads in scaling electrochemical processes, enabling commercialization.
Together, we strive to overcome technical and economic barriers, paving the way for scalable, eco-friendly hydrogen production.
